The Bundle Recipe: Spicy Tomato Pasta
These three essentials are sold together in this bundle — Chili Oil, Tomato Sauce, and Pasta. With just pantry basics (salt, pepper, optional garlic), they turn into a glossy, comforting pasta you can cook in under 20 minutes.
Ingredients (2 servings)
- Bundle: pasta, tomato sauce, chili oil
- Salt (for pasta water)
- Black pepper
- 1 small garlic clove, finely sliced (optional)
- 1 tbsp butter or 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for extra gloss)
- Finishing options (choose 1): parmesan, basil, lemon zest
If you’re keeping it minimal: salt + pepper is enough. The chili oil does the heavy lifting.
Method

Boil pasta. Cook in well-salted water until just al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.

Warm the sauce. In a pan over medium heat, add the tomato sauce. If using garlic, soften it first in butter/olive oil for 30–45 seconds, then add the sauce.

Emulsify. Add a splash of reserved pasta water and stir until the sauce turns silky.

Toss. Add pasta, toss 30–60 seconds. Add a little more pasta water if needed.

Finish with chili oil. Turn off the heat. Drizzle chili oil to taste and toss again. Finish with pepper and your chosen topping.
Chef tip: Add chili oil off-heat to keep the aroma bright and “fresh”.
Serving + easy upgrades
Serve immediately in warm bowls. Finish with a thin extra drizzle on top.
- More heat: extra chili oil + pepper
- More richness: stir in 1 tbsp butter at the end
- More texture: toasted breadcrumbs or crushed nuts
