A small porcelain plate in blue, red and gold, lettered like a postcard sent from a summer somewhere.
Sixteen centimetres is the size of a saucer, which is why the plate ends up on a wall or a shelf more often than on a table. The gold is applied last, and catches the light before the lettering does.
ilaria.i draws and fires its plates in Italy, in fine porcelain, in short collections that follow the seasons. This plate comes from the Summer 2018 collection.
Hung, propped on a shelf, or used under a coffee cup. The gold means no dishwasher and no microwave — hand wash only.
