Kraft box size: 11 x 11 x 9 cm. About scent Nr 4: "Fleurs d'Oranger" is the charming scent of blooming orange blossoms. Distillate orange flower water is traditionally used in Provence for everything from baking to perfuming bodies and homes. A scent that harmonizes, calms and comforts. Starting with notes of petitgrain orange, it flies towards orange blossom and neroli, to come to rest on a fine touch of basil.
Three wicks melt the whole surface at once, which is what a jar this wide needs. At 450 g it runs for about eighty-five hours: petitgrain, orange blossom, neroli, a touch of basil at the end.
Les Choses Simples works out of Provence, where the candles are hand-poured into apothecary jars. The fragrances themselves are composed in Grasse.
We light it in the late afternoon and leave it long enough for the wax to melt right to the edge — that first burn is what keeps the jar clean for every one after. The lid goes back on once the wax has set.
