A hand-thrown ceramic cup, painted by hand in Spain. Heavy enough in the hand that coffee stays hot, small enough that it does not go cold before you finish. This one is Esmeralda — emerald green, deep and glossy.
The weight is what we like. It sits in the hand the way a cup should, and the glaze does not stain the way thin porcelain does.
Made by Alfar Tierra Cocida, a small pottery in Spain, thrown and painted by hand.
Morning coffee, afternoon tea, and the odd scoop of ice cream when the bowls are all in the wash.
