Les Grandes Vacances is the house bestseller: lemon and lavender to open, rose and patchouli in the middle, vanilla, amber and tonka at the end. The small jar is the one we give away.
Les Choses Simples works out of Provence, where the candles are hand-poured into apothecary jars. The fragrances themselves are composed in Grasse.
We light it in the late afternoon and leave it long enough for the wax to melt right to the edge — that first burn is what keeps the jar clean for every one after. The lid goes back on once the wax has set.
