The same green basil and mint as the hand soap, which is the point: the two can run together in a kitchen without either one fighting the other.
Les Choses Simples works out of Provence, where the candles are hand-poured into apothecary jars. The fragrances themselves are composed in Grasse.
We light it in the late afternoon and leave it long enough for the wax to melt right to the edge — that first burn is what keeps the jar clean for every one after. The lid goes back on once the wax has set.
