Organic durum wheat fusilli, drawn with a rough surface so that sauce catches in the spiral instead of sliding off.
The spiral is cut deep enough to trap a chunky sauce. We use it when the sauce has pieces in it and a smooth pasta would simply let them fall to the bottom of the bowl.
