Two things we like put together without ceremony. It has been on our kitchen wall since the day it arrived.
A kabuki actor in full stage make-up, bent over a bowl of ramen and clearly enjoying it. The drawing borrows the framing and flat colour of ukiyo-e woodblock prints, then hands its hero a pair of chopsticks instead of a fan.
Drawn by Stéphane Casier for Yeaaah! Studio in Bordeaux and printed in France on heavyweight 300 g paper. Each print ships flat in a sleeve with a rigid illustrated backing board. Frame not included.
The formats are standard ones, so hanging one takes a frame and ten minutes. We put them where a room has gone quiet — above a desk, along a hallway, in the kitchen where the colours have somewhere to go.
