Hand-poured in Provence using 100% natural soy wax and a cotton wick, this candle is housed in our signature amber apothecary jar, with a lid to preserve its fragrance longer. Its clean composition is free from phthalates and made with a fragrance blend based on essential oils.

It reads as sea air rather than as marine perfume — mineral, faintly salty, with nothing sweet underneath. We burn it in rooms that never get much daylight.
Les Choses Simples works out of Provence, where the candles are hand-poured into apothecary jars. The fragrances themselves are composed in Grasse.
We light it in the late afternoon and leave it long enough for the wax to melt right to the edge — that first burn is what keeps the jar clean for every one after. The lid goes back on once the wax has set.
